Welcome to the innaguaral episode of “that independent streak… podcast”. I’m most excited about this project because it affords me the opportunity to sit down and reconnect with the most inspirational people in my life. I’m thrilled to be able to introduce them to you and share with you some of the love and laughter that comes from a lifetime of friendships.
Who is Jessica Patterson?
Jessica Patterson is the Owner/Director of Root: Center for Yoga and Spiritual Studies in Colorado Springs, Colorado, since it opened in 2014. (read her full bio here)
In this first episode, we discuss the evolution of friendship over time (we’ve been friends since high school), healing from loss, connecting through separation, the spiritual nature of connecting to the land through travel and so much more.
Jessica is a master tribe builder with year-long development and mentoring programs. With an eclectic background in nutrition, gender studies, animal studies, and her personal journeys of yogi studies and traditions her perspective is both grounding and enlightening.
